| Small water falls, creeks and wildflowers bring natural beauty to city parks and resorts |
We work so hard to reach that inspiring vacation once or twice a year. Would it be better to have a bit of a vacation every day to recharge and inspire your life? We all deserve a bit of that respite and relaxation every single day to maintain our health and happiness.
Where do you go each day to find the inspiration to recharge your life? Have you created a stunning natural backyard as a sanctuary? Is your backyard large enough for this? Have you experienced a calming affect of even a tiny bit of nature created on your porch? Is it possible to turn a part of your city park into a gorgeous natural habitat in lieu of your own space?
Many of our clients are resorts or are people who create resort type spaces. Most of these places are destinations away from daily living. Over the years we began to think about all that commute time and have thought about the people who invest in these resort settings. Do they work all week wondering what is happening up at their lake? What did the sunset look like at the cabin this evening? The Vacation At Home idea emerged from these thoughts.

The challenge is most people do not have sufficient space at home for their own personal resort! That is where town and city parks come into view. What do most local parks offer? We see play grounds, sports fields, trees, a dirty duck pond, picnic areas and maybe a flower garden in many parks. Is that inspiring enough to be considered a mini vacation? In our minds it is not. If a park has a natural area, is it gorgeous or is it more weedy, nondescript and uninspiring? We are spoiled daily with views of the habitats we create in those resort type settings. Our belief is society will be enriched if everyone has access to a gorgeous natural place near home and in our daily lives. Take a close look at your city park, then take a look at the waters Spring Creek creates . How would you use your city park if it was home to a clear water lake surrounded by colorful wildflowers and filled with fish and wildlife? What if it had a sandy beach? What if the lake were large enough for paddling and fishing? What if it had a clear water stream for exploring, relaxation and recreation? This is our idea for a home vacation with the beauty of nature.

| Small spaces of natural beauty have big impacts in parks |
Go talk to your city council, mayor or parks department. Tell them your town deserves the emotional and financial benefit of a gorgeous natural setting in the city park. Let them know the cost of building a pond or lake is quite reasonable, especially when considering its financial impact on the town. We know you will enjoy. We also know your real estate value will truly appreciate the enhancement. Very often a major part of the difference between property value in an average town and the sought after town is the beauty of the land. Civic center parks are a major key to land values. We know this and so do the civic leaders of the cities where we work. Yet, at the end of the day what really matters is the quality of life. Your town and you deserve the qualities that beautiful natural places bring.
